Attica

Finally finished reading on the book, Attica. I'd bought it since I was a first former but I didn't really take a proper reading on it. About days ago, I encouraged myself to read this book from cover to cover.Yup, finally I did it.

This book is totally awesome! Although I have some difficulties on reading it ( as my English standard is not good enough to understand those exotic word and appropriate adjectives and adverbs to get an exact image or view on the story line), it's yet so fascinating, so interesting, so well written!

Once I'm into the rising part, I found myself so obsessed and so into the story line, so astonished about what will happen next and so anxious that I wouldn't want to put it down.

About the story :

Three children, Alex, Chloe and Jordy were up to their new moved-in house's attic to search for Mr Grantham's pocket watch, which was a gift from his ex-girlfriend during the war time.Away from their own house's attic, they entered into a strange world, namely Attica.

Lots of encounters were ahead which brought close deaths to three of them. In spite of the difficulties, they were determined to support each others and seek for the pocket watch.About halfway of their adventure, they're spilt out with Jordy.

Regardless the fear and dangers that came to them in every new encounter, Chloe and Alex were forced to be strong-spirited in order to fight for their lifes.Without realising the changes occured in them, they managed to pass through dangers ahead with narrow escapes. Many advice was given by the board-combers and his companion throughout their adventure. They were lucky to have the protections and helps from the board-comber who still had humanity in him although he was reluctant to admit it.

Jordy finally met up with his brother and sister, with the help of the kind bortrekker.

They were taught to travel in the right direction and finally they found the way back to their home.To Chloe's despair, Alex was reluctant to go back to their home with them, with the reason that he wanted to be a bortrekker himself. Soon they were off by using the hangglider, just a narrow escape from the Removal Firm and on their way home. Jordy fell in love with an athletic girl he saw on their halfway home but he kept going for their sakes.

Alex sailed along the wide ocean-like water to the other side of the shore to seek for Mr Grantham's watch. He found Amanda, who was also a board-comber who collects pocket watches. She became his good companion and after having some conversations with her, Alex soon realized that he actually wanted to be with his family and had decided to go back to his home.

Before he went back, he managed to stop the man-built bomb from exploding, which'll cause destruction to the world of Attica. Without Alex's acknowledgement, Amanda gave the pocket watch as a gift to him before he went back to his house.

Chloe and Jordy were so glad to have him back at home and was proud of their brother's well-did. Mr Grantham was glad to get back his pocket watch and was dead after 7 months of their return at home. This story ended with a happy ending, as they had learned to living harmonically with their beloved and cherished family.

I sincerely recommend book fonder to take a read on this book. You might find it interesting and mind-fulfilling. Trust me, you won't ever regret of  reading this book.:)
