A random Saturday

So I went to a shopping mall at hometown, checking out prices of Harry Potter series books. It's one of those kind of books that will lure me into reading and reading more, indulged in my little fantasized world. Yup, I'm really drawn to it. However, buying the remaining books of the series will cost me around RM 220. I decided to buy one or two of them only after I've finished reading some of the other books in hand. Be patient, just a while more. ^^

My mum and I randomly went for windows shopping before buying groceries, and she got me a new swimming suit- my form 2 swimming suits don't fit anymore. Just as I was deciding between 3 garments, mum gave a comment like, "why not pick out the more colourful one, the other 2 look a bit dull... but you look just alright in them la". Mum said it in a very light tone, so I didn't catch her hint of preference. A passed- by auntie intervened and said, " please lah, where got girls at this age wear such dull colours one, pick out the brighter one la, you'll look more youthful and cheerful in it".

          *flashback*
Ya, I wonder when was the last time I wore colourful garments. My preference for clothes has slowly shifted to really plain and simple ones because I simply feel comfortable in them. When I was packing things back at my eldest sis's house, I looked at the colourful laced or floral-printed dresses  that I used to wear, wondering when was the last time I wore them. I put them on and I studied my own reflection - it feels odd seeing myself dressing up, but I don't look bad in them, ... folding them up nicely, I decided that I should really wear them sometimes, not to waste the money spent on them last time.

Looking back at the 3 garments, I made up my mind.I look alright in 3 of them, no harm bringing back some colours into my life, I decided. It's not over-striking that will make me feel uncomfortable, just nice. :)
